Cookies From Around the World

The context of this cookbook were given to us as an assignment in Typography. We decided which way we would individually present the context. This would distinguish the audience and tone of the work.

I had the pleasure in March 2020 (the week before the pandemic) to travel to Greece. I wanted to attempt to transport the audience to places internationally through food the way I attempted to do during the pandemic.

I went onto Pexel and found as many images of Italy to combine a cookbook with a travel magazine. How to travel through food was my ultimate inspiration for this piece.

I did focal points on different locations throughout Italy to understand more about the culture. I found quotes focusing on the beauty of Italy. I wanted to capture the culture as the biscottis would not exist without a home.

Creating beautiful experiences on each page while being typographically successful was a challenge I faced, but was necessary for this piece.
